Subjects being Taught
When I first started my job here at Mountain View, my obligation was to teach Kinder - 5th grade general music and 5th grade Band. After two years, I was able to add Choir and Band was being taught by a separate teacher. For the past few years, Mountain View has been having after school enrichment with clubs following, in which I am teaching there as well. At the beginning of 2014, I added Leadership Club, allowing me a chance to work with a group of students to help the school in meeting their goals and aspirations.
General Music, 5th Grade
Fifth grade this year will be focusing on learning notes, rests, rhythms, genres, and so much more. Students have the opportunity to join Band and Choir where they can work together to learn a new instrument and learn how to perform as a cohesive group with others. This year's concert will be an exciting one, for they will be tackling the Disney movie "Hercules" for the school year.

Third grade this year will be focusing on learning notes, rests, rhythms, instruments, and so much more. Students have the opportunity to join Choir where they can work together to learn how to perform as a cohesive group with others. This year's concert will be an exciting one, for they will be tackling the Disney movie "Wreck it Ralph" for the school year.

Choir, 2nd - 5th
Choir is a very important part of the school's extracuricular after school program, currently being the oldest club at Mountain View. Students have the chance to work with kids outside of their grade level and learn how to sing together as a cohesive group, not to mention gain confidence to sing solo, i.e. by themselves. This year we are presenting two brand new concerts: "A Christmas Carol" in December and "Into the Woods" in May.

STUCO, 2nd - 5th
STUCO, short for Student Council, is also known as Leadership Club at the school. This is my second year being the STUCO advisor. We focus on ways that we can fundraise and bring money into the school, promote the many different functions that are occuring each month, as well as try to take care of the general student body's morale and happiness. STUCO students also participate in the school's SWAT program and host a Structured Recess once a week.

21st CCLC, TBD
21st Century is a place for students who need extra help. These students receive one on one instruction from qualified teachers for an hour before being dismissed to an after school club. Arts & Crafts is offered every Monday for grades Kinder - 2nd.
